Divorce is devastating, but it does not mean that one’s happiness has to be permanently sacrificed. There are few times in life where you are given the chance to re-define or re-vamp your life. Divorce is a perfect opportunity for this. Divorce allows you to “reclaim the parts of yourself that were lost during your marriage”. Revamping yourself is no easy task, but in the long run will bring you the happiness you deserve. Divorce brings a transition that can lead to “self-discovery” when looked at in a positive light. The Divorce Detox blog offers a series of questions to help start you revamping your life:
What do you like to do for fun?
What are some of your positive qualities?
Why do you feel people are drawn to you?
How would you describe yourself?
What is important to you?
What brings you joy and happiness?
What are your talents?
Keep in mind you are not alone in this process. There are many other men and women struggling with the pain of divorce while trying to revamp their lives.
